The Gibson Township Supervisors will hold their reorganization meeting for the year 2010
on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Gibson Township building.
The Auditors for Gibson Township will meet to reorganize on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at
7:00 PM at the Gibson Twp. building.

The Board of Supervisors of Gibson Township will levy the following taxes for the year 2010:
4.0 mills for Real Estate for the purpose of maintaining the roads, bridges and general Twp. Use;
1 mill for Fire Protection Tax for the use of the 3 fire companies serving Gibson Twp.;
1 percent Real Estate Transfer Tax;
1 percent Earned Income Tax
and a $5.00 PerCapita Tax.

At the Township Meeting, 5 October 2009, the Supervisors received a petition from Rick Marcho to support
the view that the proposed zoning ordinance should not be passed. The Supervisors, in response
to the petition and the encouragement of most of the attendees, passed a resolution
to withdraw Gibson Township from the Eastern Susquehanna County Partnership and declare
the proposed zoning ordinance dead.
